that’s quite a variety there on am!
i have one just sorta like this, but its a model 7-4950a.
If that radio don’t wake you up, nothing will!
Nice radio but I find that the blue light displays cast too much light when they are in a darkened room. I’m light sensitive so I prefer the red LED displays on the old Sony’s.
that would look good on my nightstand
That is a great looking & sounding radio! I bet it would make a good table radio! Thanks for showing!
They must be going fast here. I don’t ever see stuff like what you find, at the frequency you do here.Awesome radio though.
at 3:50 russian station =)!
I live within range of NYC and Philadelphia, as well as many local NJ stations, so there is quite a lot. Due to the large population, everyone wants to get their own slice of the pie, so a lot of small low-power stations remain on the air. The Gospel music station heard at the beginning of the video (1070 WKMB) as well as the strange Indian music station (1170 WWTR) are both 250-watt daytimers!
Oh, yeah! I listened to the radio when I was in the Newark airport (on the return trip from Germany, where I guess it didn’t occur to me that I needed to) and it was glorious. I still have a couple of these really cheesy world band radios that I bought for like 8 EUR in a department store there, along with a bunch of German AA Batteries. I’m taking my DX-390 next time! (And inevitably coming back with a bunch of PAL video equipment that I won’t be able to fit in my room)
